Spectre Counter Set with Case

About this item

Tiles that fit together. Every tile fits against every other, edge to edge, with no gaps. Put a creature's counters together and they form a patch of the tiling.

Readable across the table. The lettering and border are raised in a second color.

Every counter visible at once. Open the case and all 19 sit side by side. Any tile fits any pocket, so there's no wrong slot.

Push-out base. Each pocket has an opening underneath, so you can push a counter up with a fingertip. The openings are shaped like the Spectre's cousin, the turtle tile.

A lid that only goes on one way. The shape has no symmetry, so there's nothing to line up.

Pick a color for the case, a color for the tiles, and a color for the lettering and borders.

The Spectre tile was discovered in 2023, and it has an amazing property: no matter how far you extend a tiling of them, the pattern never settles into a repeat. You can lay down tiles forever and it will never repeat itself. It's a wonderful shape with a wonderful story, and I'm happy to share it with you!
